Designer bowls and pitchers in colors such as Aqua Beach and Merlot Red, solid all-metal bases in Pearlescent White and Antique Copper among others, combine with revolutionary control and speed features to make the Attrezzi™ line of countertop appliances one of the most exciting kitchenware introductions in decades. Maytag, long a top manufacturer of large household appliances, had recognized a prime opportunity to extend their brand and legendary reputation into the small kitchen appliance market and came to Fitch:Worldwide for a partner in design innovation. Called "Attrezzi™", the Italian word for tools, the line marries a demand for serious functionality and durability with sleek, sophisticated styling. Both mixer and blender are a combination of sculptural forms and vibrant colors inspired by nature but with a nod to the beauty of classic Italian design and artistry. Bowls and pitchers are designed to go straight from kitchen to table, offering all the best as both preparation tools and graceful serveware. The Attrezzi line is also set apart by technology innovations, including seven patent-pending or patented technological breakthroughs--even one for the shape of the mixer itself. In addition to ergonomic design and solid-state controls, new innovations include a unique, multiple speed selector for the mixer in the form of a convenient touch wheel at the top of the unit, with 10 blue LED speed indicators; a soft start and pause mode on all mixing actions; and large capacity, 4.5 quart mixer bowls available in five colors. The blender features a large, 72 oz capacity pitcher with a wider base and larger blade for better blending action; momentary pulse action; and a locking safety base. The Attrezzi line debuted to rave reviews at two of the US's largest industry tradeshows. Shortly after its introduction, Attrezzi was featured in several consumer/lifestyle publications, including Architectural Digest, House Beautiful, Better Homes and Gardens, and The New York Times. |
