Course Overview

This course addresses the important topic of achieving growth in today's highly competitive markets by commercializing new product/service innovations. We are especially focused on developing the cross-functional skills essential for successful commercialization of innovations in networked-digital environments. The objectives of this course are to: understand the role of product development in a firm's value chain; learn the core processes involved in commercializing an innovative new idea; become aware of the economic factors driving decisions in information-based industries; enhance problem-solving skills in collaborative environments; and prepare for managing projects with demanding deadlines.
