Design practice

In an effort to better serve its partners, Corporate Design Foundation, conducts research to identify specific ways that the Foundation can be more helpful to its sponsors, donors and members.

The Foundation administered a confidential survey during 2003 with partner design firms identifying elements of current design practice to gather information concerning the current issues facing firms in communication design and product development. Questions regarding the current, past and projected state of business, how the firm has responded to changing business conditions, and if and how the firm is working with collaborators and dealing with competitors combine to provide an accurate snapshot of the design industry.

CDF is updating this research with a short follow-up survey of its research with participants. Results will be initially distributed to participating firms in the fall of 2004.
